Overview

The Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) is designatedby state law to be the archival and records management agency of thestate of Mississippi (Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated, §25-59-5).The State Government Records Assistance page is a collaborative effortof the MDAH Archives and Library Division and the MDAH RecordsManagement Division. The information resources presented on this pageare intended to assist state agencies and workers in finding answers totheir questions regarding records management and to inform them abouttheir legal responsibilities and duties with respect to the recordsthey generate. We hope that as time allows the page will grow to serveas a source where agency records officers and liaisons with MDAH canfind information on records management training offerings, downloadable forms and instructions, and links to related sites.
